As well as knowing how to charge an electric car, you also need to be aware of how much you will pay. The amount depends, firstly, on the charging station you choose. Then there are other factors to consider.
For charging at public stations, the final price depends on three variables:
- The cost of the energy consumed to charge the vehicle (this varies depending on the CEME you have contracted with);
- The tariff for using the charging point (determined by the station operator and the charging time);
- Fees and taxes, such as the Special Tax on Electricity Consumption (IEC) and VAT.
In the case of domestic charging, the value of the charge will depend on the contracted tariff.
