      Introducing Drivfit Protects: Additional Peace of Mind for Your Rental

      At Drivfit, we understand the importance of feeling confident and secure while working every day on the road, mastering in TVDE. That's why we are excited to introduce our new product, Drivfit Protects, to complement your rental experience. With Protections, we aim to reduce risks, worries, and unexpected costs, so you can focus on what matters most: your work and peace of mind.

      What are Drivfit Protects?

      Drivfit Protects is a range of optional products designed to limit your liability and prevent surprises in the event of damages, accidents, and thefts. We offer multiple levels of protection with varying deductibles, allowing you the flexibility to choose the coverage that suits your needs best.

       

      Benefits of Drivfit Protects

      By opting for Drivfit Protects, you can enjoy numerous advantages that will enhance your rental experience:

      • Cost savings: By choosing the right level of protection, you have the opportunity to mitigate potential financial risks and costs.
      • Convenience: Our Protections are seamlessly integrated into your rental, giving you a hassle-free experience.

       

      Protection plans

      We offer four levels of protection for you to choose from:

      1. No protection: This level of protection is included in your rental for free. However, it carries a higher deductible of €1000, making it the riskiest option.
      2. Basic: You can opt for our basic protection, featuring a lower deductible of €600.
      3. Pro: Tailored specifically for professional drivers, our Pro protection offers a deductible of €250.
      4. Elite: Reserved for the best drivers around, the Elite protection provides the highest level of coverage with a deductible as low as €50.

      The deductible represents the limit of your liability. You will only be responsible for any costs up to the deductible value.

       

      Coverage and limitations

      Drivfit Protects cover a wide range of damages, including:

      • Chassis: Scratch, dents, breaks, crashes, missing parts, and other damages (excluding undercarriage and roof).
      • Tyres, rims, wheels, and glasses: Rips, breaks, crashes, holes, and rock falls.
      • Interiors: Soiled areas, stains, and small scratches, except on interior roof
      • Accidents caused by you or any third party

      However, there are certain limitations to our coverage. The following damages or events are not covered:

      • Chassis: any damage on the undercarriage and roof
      • Interiors: rip, burn holes, cigarette smoke and damages, objects not fixed, missing or broke, every damage on the interior roof.

      Regardless of the chosen coverage, any and every damage caused by negligence, malpractice or improper use are not covered. Examples:

      • Driver under influence of alcohol or drugs
      • Excessive speeding
      • Off-roading
      • Overloading
      • Lack of maintenance
      • Failure to exercise duty of care
      • Failure to comply with road traffic laws, safety and authorities’ guidelines

      Regardless of the chosen coverage, customers and drivers must fulfil their duties, obligations and requirements to benefit from the Protections.

       

      Pricing

      We believe in providing transparent pricing for our customers. The current prices for each protection level are as follows:

      • No protection: Included in your rental, free of charge.
      • Basic: Starting from €10 per week.
      • Pro: Starting from €25 per week.
      • Elite: Starting from €45 per week.

      Please note that prices may vary depending on the vehicle segment, and updates to pricing may occur at any time.

      Note: in case of any accident, Drivfit may charge an additional management fee of 75€.

       

      Deductible: understanding your liability

      With Drivfit Protects, your liability is limited to the deductible amount. If the damages are covered, you will only be responsible for costs up to the deductible. In the event of an accident where you are at fault, the resulting damages will be also limited to the deductible, provided you have followed all Protections requirements and rules and have not acted with negligence.

      Any cost of covered incidents and damages above deductible threshold will not be charged.

      It's also important to mention that this deductible is valid for each vehicle you rent. In other words, if you have already benefited from the contracted Protection and replaced the vehicle, you will be responsible for a new deductible for the new vehicle.

       

      Duration and cancelation

      Drivfit Protects is valid throughout your entire rental period. If you wish to request a downgrade or upgrade to your protection level, please note that a new vehicle inspection will be required to facilitate the update.

       

      In the event of an incident

      In the event of an accident, breakdown, theft or change to the state in which the vehicle was delivered, please ensure you follow the necessary procedures:

      • Report to Drivfit and the police authorities within 24 hours, except for force majeure reasons;
      • Fill up DAAA (accident report) properly and submit it to Drivfit, alongside the authorities’ report and any relevant pictures.
      • Collect witnesses reports and contact information
      • Do not leave the vehicle without taking proper measures to protect it and safeguard it, except for force majeure reasons
      • Don’t plead guilty nor take any responsibility in any circumstance
      • Refrain from performing any action that may affect Drivfit’s liability
      • Be truthful in every situation, including in accident report (DAAA) and any official report
      • In the event of non-compliance with these obligations Drivfit reserves the right to charge customer with the payment of the full amount of the total damages suffered, plus compensation for resulting downtime.

       

      Requirements and eligibility

      Requirements for eligibility for Drivfit Protects:

      • Active rented vehicle with Drivfit
      • Protections are valid only for the designated driver
      • Having no outstanding debts to Drivfit
      • Fully comply with the required procedures in case of an incident
