Deposit instalment payment

Splitting the deposit: making Drivfit rentals accessible to all partners

Drivfit understands that the deposit can be a financial burden, too high for some partners, and hinder their access to our vehicles.

In our mission to make TVDE rentals accessible to all businesses, big or small, we have come up with a solution: to pay the deposit in 3 interest-free months, providing a more manageable and financially friendly alternative for all partners!

Drivfit has finally partnered with FLOA Pay to provide you a even more flexible rental!

Learn everything about FLOA Pay, here.

In this article:

Features

  • Pay in 3 times, interest-free
  • First instalment to be paid immediately at the check-out
  • Following two instalments will be automatically charged to the customer's card, every 30 days
  • Debit or credit card, Visa or Mastercard, mandatory
  • The FLOA Pay loan can only be granted to an individual and not a company, as this person will be held accountable in case of default. However, the monthly payments can be made using the company's card.
  • FLOA Pay will perform a credit analysis and will immediately approve or reject the instalment request

Some banks will block the full loaned amount on your credit card. This is due to your bank risk policy and is not related to anything with Drivfit or FLOA Pay.

This will not happen with debit cards.

Refund of the instalment deposit

When customer requests the refund of the deposit after the end of the loan, Drivfit will proceed with a normal refund of the deposit.

The conditions and rules above regarding the refund of the instalment deposit don't override the generic conditions and rules for the refund of deposits, which are always valid.

Check the generic procedure and rules for the refund of the deposit, here.

However, if the customer wishes to return the vehicle and request the deposit refund before the loan ends, Drivfit will adjust the total amount of the loan and, in this case, three different situations may occur:

  1. Customer doesn't owe any amount to Drivfit

FLOA Pay will refund the customer for the instalments already paid, ending the loan without any additional instalment or charge.

Example: if the customer has already paid an instalment of €400 (two instalments remaining) and does not owe any amount to Drivfit, FLOA Pay will return the €400 and the loan ends without any other instalments.

  2. Customer has an unpaid amount to Drivfit, lower than the instalments already paid
FLOA Pay will refund the customer the difference between the instalments already paid and the amount due to Drivfit, ending the loan without any additional instalment or charge.

Example: if the customer has already paid an instalment of €400 (two instalments remaining) and has an amount of €300 due to Drivfit, FLOA Pay will refund the customer €100 and the loan ends without any other instalments.

  3. Customer owes an unpaid amount to Drivfit, which is higher than the instalments already paid
The loan amount will be adjusted to the unpaid amount due to Drivfit, from which the instalments already paid are deducted. The customer must pay FLOA Pay the updated remaining amount, divided by the number of instalments still due.

Example: if the customer has already paid an instalment of €400 (two instalments remaining) and has an amount of €700 due to Drivfit, the total loan amount is adjusted from the deposit amount to €700, of which €400 has already been paid and €300 would be due. Since there are still two instalments, each instalment will be €150 (€300 / 2 instalments).

During the 14 days required for processing the deposit refund (see here), a new installment may occur, charged by FLOA.
This is a normal procedure, as until the 14 days are completed and Drivfit cancels the installment plan, the customer remains with an active plan with the partner FLOA.

At the end of the 14 days, Drivfit will process the termination of the plan and will always consider all installments paid when calculating the amount to be refunded.
