Check the conditions for Drivfit's flexible rental and understand the terms associated with our service.

General

  • For companies only
    Drivfit's vehicle rental services are exclusively for companies. Singular drivers are not allowed to rent, as Drivfit is not a TVDE operator, of any platform.
    Non-TVDE companies are also allowed to rent.
  • Deposit payment
    The security deposit is a protection tool for Drivfit since there is no credit background check.

  • Deductible
    Current deductibles start at €600+VAT per vehicle, per occurrence.


Payments and billing

  • Weekly payment
    Payments are made weekly at the beginning of each week for the rentals and consumptions of previous week.
  • Weekly invoicing
    Similarly, invoices are issued at the beginning of each week for the rentals and consumption of the previous week. The customer has 5 days after the invoice is issued to contest it.
  • Direct debit
    The current payment method is SEPA Direct Debit. In this model, the customer authorizes Drivfit - through the completion of a declaration made when creating the account - to charge directly to their bank account.
    Any revoke, refusal, cancellation, or verification of insufficient funds allows Drivfit to immediately cancel the contract and charge an administrative fee.

 

Rental

  • No rental period
    There is no minimum rental period.
  • Advance notice of return - 3 days
    Although there is no minimum rental period, the customer is required to communicate the return of the vehicle 3 days in advance. If they do not, Drivfit has the right to charge accordingly.
  • Pick-up locations
    Currently, vehicles can be picked up and returned in Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon, and Albufeira. New locations will come.
  • Drivers
    It is the customer's responsibility to communicate their authorized drivers to Drivfit in advance, as well as the legitimacy of their personal data. In case of any non-conformity, Drivfit will forward processes, identifications, and costs to the company representative.
    It is possible to add additional drivers at no cost, just by informing Drivfit.
  • Driver's age
    The driver must be at least 21 years old.
  • Tolls
    The Via Verde service and device are included for free. It is the customer's responsibility to use the device properly, as well as the correct use of it and the surrounding rules.
    Any toll, fine, or other charge related to this service will be re-invoiced to the customer.
  • Exterior cleaning, interior cleaning, and fuel
    The customer must return the vehicle in the same exterior and interior cleanliness state and with the same fuel level (measured in eighths of the tank). If they do not, Drivfit will charge for the restoration of those original states and levels.

 

Damages

  • Initial and final inspection
    A Drivfit agent will carry out the initial inspection before handing over the vehicle to the customer - at the beginning of the rental - and the final inspection after the customer's return - at the end of the rental. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all damages have been noted in both inspections. It will always be assumed that the inspection is a legitimate record of all vehicle damages.
  • Damage charges
    New damages will be charged by Drivfit. New damages are understood as any damage present in the final inspection but not in the initial inspection, as long as they are properly identified and photographed.
    Drivfit also reserves the right to charge for any hidden damage, duly proven, that is found within 30 days after the vehicle's return.
    Damages are not covered by the deductible.

 

Maintenance and tires

  • Respect for maintenance and components
    It is the exclusive duty of the customer and driver to respect the proper maintenance of the vehicle, respect the maintenance intervals of the vehicle and its components, as well as pay attention to the states, alerts, and warnings displayed on the vehicle's dashboard. Any breakdown caused by lack of maintenance will be entirely charged to the customer.
  • Respect for the law
    It is the exclusive duty of the customer and driver to respect the current norms and laws regarding the measures and levels of car components, such as tire wear and oil levels. Any accident or fine proven to be caused by disrespect for these levels and states will be entirely charged to the customer.
  • Communication and execution of maintenance and tires
    It is the customer's responsibility to inform, with normal notice, the need for any service of this type.
    It is Drivfit's responsibility to schedule according to the customer's agenda and location, as well as to settle any resulting costs.
    It is the customer's responsibility to transport to/from the scheduled workshop.

 

Accidents and breakdowns

  • Duties in case of an accident
    It is the customer's duty to report and request the presence of authorities, fill in the Friendly Accident Declaration (DAAA), not abandon the vehicle, report to Drivfit within a maximum of 24 hours, and cooperate with Drivfit in any and all subsequent processes. If any of the above is not met, Drivfit may charge the customer for all costs arising from the accident, as well as compensation for downtime and loss of profit.
    It is Drivfit's duty to defend the customer and their version with the insurance company, trying to exempt the customer from any blame when deserved.
    All accident costs are limited by the deductible when proven to be caused by natural and non-negligent errors.
  • Duties in case of a breakdown
    It is the customer's duty to use the vehicle prudently and correctly, according to good practices, not to tamper with the vehicle and its mechanical components, not to abandon the vehicle, report to Drivfit within a maximum of 24 hours, and cooperate with Drivfit in any and all subsequent processes. If any of the above is not met, Drivfit may charge the customer for all costs arising from the breakdown, as well as compensation for downtime and loss of profit.
    It is Drivfit's duty to assume the costs and repairs of breakdowns when proven to be caused by reasons unrelated to the customer.

 

Replacement vehicle

  • Available
    In case of mechanical repair or collision, if the duration is longer than 1 day and the customer is not guilty of negligence in the breakdown or accident.
    In case of maintenance or tire replacement, if the expected duration is abnormal.
  • Not available
    If the repair was caused by the customer's negligence.
    In case of maintenance or tire replacement, with normal expected duration.
    If there is no available stock for a replacement vehicle.

 

Others

  • Other duties
    Mandatory appearance at the pick-up location when requested by Drivfit; prudent and normal use of the vehicle, within the provisions of the Road Code; leaving the country without prior authorization from Drivfit is prohibited.
  • Traffic fines
    The customer will be identified to the authorities by Drivfit in case of traffic fines and will be responsible for reimbursing Drivfit for any associated costs, along with an administrative fee.
  • Other fees
